A sustainable supply chain is built on responsibility
For us at Arom-dekor Kemi, a sustainable supply chain is about more than choosing the right raw materials. It is about taking responsibility throughout the chain – from suppliers and production to the finished product at the customer’s premises.
We work with a large number of suppliers and set clear requirements for quality, the environment, working conditions and business ethics. Our work is based on applicable legislation and the requirements in the markets where we operate, such as EU regulations and, in Norway, the Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven).
Our suppliers are expected to follow our Code of Conduct and are included in our ongoing risk assessments covering both social and environmental aspects. Through self-assessments, follow-up and dialogue, we create better conditions for identifying risks and developing together.
Circularity is also an important part of our sustainability work. Where possible, we work to give recycled raw materials a new life in new products. In this way, we can reduce the need for virgin raw materials and contribute to a more resource-efficient cycle.
Sustainability work is never finished. That is why we view our supplier relationships as long-term partnerships in which clarity, transparency and trust are essential.
We also need to be confident that our suppliers are capable. The way forward is through clarity, transparency and trust, and we must do this together with customers, employees and suppliers.
