HISTORY OF OUR COMPANY
AROM-DEKOR KEMI WAS FOUNDED
When Arom-dekor Kemi began operations, it was producing aromas and decorations for bakeries. So a lot has changed since then.
CHRISTIAN LUNDELL ACQUIRES THE COMPANY
The company is bought in 2008 by Christian Lundell, who has an extensive background in the chemicals industry. Under his management, the company grows strongly and now handles more than 35,000 cubic metres of chemical products each year.
NEW FACTORY IN LOCKRYD
In 2012, Arom-dekor Kemi moves into new premises and a new production facility in Lockryd. In conjunction with the move, Arom-dekor Kemi also acquires Calvén Trading AB.
PART OF THE VILOKAN GROUP
In 2016, Vilokan acquires 80% of the shares in Arom-dekor Kemi. The Vilokan group is owned by Johan Brandberg, Lars Rosell, Karl-Henrik Jönsson and the family owned investment company Gullspång Invest AB. Christian Lundell continues as CEO and retains a 20% stake in Arom-dekor Kemi.
ACQUIRES 80% OF NORSKA MERCO AS
In 2017, Arom-dekor Kemi AB acquires 80% of the shares in the Norwegian company Merco AS. Merco is one of Norway’s leading suppliers of AdBlue® and cleaning agents for heavy transports. Merco offers all types of cleaning agents and lubricants for industry.
ACQUIRES THE REMAINING 20% OF MERCO AS
Arom-dekor Kemi AB acquires the remaining 20% of the shares in Merco AS and changes the name to Arom-dekor Kemi AS. Its sales office and staff remain in Førde from where it serves the Norwegian market.
SETS UP IN FINLAND
Arom-dekor Kemi AB acquires 70% of the shares in the Finnish company AdChemicals Oy. AdChemicals OY purchases an industrial property in Kouvola and begins construction of an AdBlue® production facility, which is completed at the end of 2018. In conjunction with Arom-dekor’s acquisition, AdChemicals’ name is changed to Arom-dekor Kemi OY.
10,000 M2 PREMISES
In 2021, after 314 days of intensive construction activity, Arom-dekor Kemi’s new premises which comprise approximately 3,500 m2 of space are completed. This brings the company’s total office, warehousing and production area to about 10,000 m2. The building contains a fully-equipped gym of just over 150 m2 for everyone who works in the building.
